24. How many girlfriends/boyfriends have told you they love you?
“None.” The answer is a simple one that doesn’t take much thought, because the weight of the question doesn’t really resonate with Chloe. “I’ve never had someone tell me that they loved me, outside of family at least.”

“In the timeline before the original game, this host is very conflicted about Genesis. Personally, I don’t understand why she won’t just talk it out with him, but that’s a different issue entirely. I’ll get to that one day. As for the timeline after Advent Children, of course she has her small crush on Reno, but nothing serious.”

Chloe winced as the squealing of the subway brakes cut through the low hum of the platform. It was a terrible, terrible sound, and she could hardly sleep some nights when the trains ran late. She shook her head and grumbled, distastefully, “white noise.”

“My mother, most likely. Or rather, the host’s mother.”

“I don’t think so. If they are, they haven’t said anything, or given me any implications. I believe it’s called… f-flirting?” Chloe made a face. “That sounds like such a dirty word. Ugh. I hate that word.”

Chloe leaned forward, getting up close and personal with the Anonymous asker, spreading her lids as wide as they would go so that her eyeballs were practically protruding from her head. “Still blue, right?”

“I don’t really receive many compliments.”
